John Adolph Froehlich aka "Froggy"  

John A. Froehlich, 83, of Kingston, NY, passed peacefully Saturday morning January 28, 2017 at the Health Alliance Hospital, Broadway Campus, Kingston, NY. He was born January 15, 1934 in the Bronx, the son of the late Adolf and Emma Pohl Froehlich. John was a graduate of SS Peter & Paul Elementary School (1948) and Cardinal Hayes High School (1952) in The Bronx, NY. After high school he served in the US Army from 1957 - 1959. He then graduated from City College of New York, earning his Bachelor of Science. For 25 years he had worked as an industrial engineer for Ford of Mahwah, NJ. After retiring from Ford, he then worked for Ametek - Rotron of Woodstock until retirement. John enjoyed golf, bowling, gardening, OTB, fantasy football and baseball. He is survived by his children Jean F. Richards and her husband Edward of Northport, NY, John W. Froehlich and his wife Sharon of Rosendale, NY and Frank T. Froehlich and his wife Jane of Wallkill, NY, his grandchildren Heidi, Amy, Amber, John and Frank, and a brother Al Froehlich and his wife Sue of Brookfield, CT. He was the husband of the late Jean Foster Froehlich. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. Services will be private.
